About Tutor Terrace
We are a tutor listing organization with a focus on premium quality. We are ultra-selective about the tutors we list. You definitely can find good tutors elsewhere; but you know the tutors will be top quality on Tutor Terrace.
We are a bit different from other tutoring services:
- We won't make you prepay. We don't need you to pay in advance for package deals, because we know you will be satisfied with your first lesson and come back for more.
- We have no hidden fees. The rate you see is the rate you pay. (And by the way, the tutor keeps most of it. This is how we attract the very best tutors.)
- Scheduling is a breeze. Just check availability, leave a card on file, and book the session. Go same-day if you like. The tutor will be there!
- Use the tech you know. Other services try to pull you on to their platform, forcing you to use specialized messaging systems and tutoring software. With us, you'll talk to your tutor using email and meet him or her on zoom.
How it works
It's simple, really. You'll find qualified tutors listed on the home page. Click to see availability and book a session. You will be asked to provide an email and credit card to secure the booking, but you won't be charged until after the session. Meeting information is emailed to you at the time of booking, and you can cancel or reschedule using links in the email (or on our website). You can tell the tutor what you want at the time of booking and discuss more over email to make sure it's a match.
All tutors listed on our site have been interviewed by Tutor Terrace. We make sure they have demonstrated experience, either as an in-person tutor, an online tutor, a classroom teacher, or a college teaching assistant. And we make sure they were successful, as demonstrated by student reviews.
Our Mission
Tutor Terrace was founded in 2021 with the goal making the highest quality of private tutoring easily accessible to students everywhere. We attract the best tutors by letting them keep most of their rates, and we keep students by making the whole experience frictionless. The focus is on learning, and you'll get the results you want.
